Finance Manager - Sweden
Stockholm

LUSH is a global manufacturer and retailer of fresh handmade cosmetics with Global Brand Turnover for the year end June 2018 of £1bn and over 927 shops spread across 47 countries. We work hard to make a difference in the world.

We are looking for a dynamic and hands on Finance Manager to take responsibility for our Financial operations & reporting in Sweden. based in the beautiful city of Stockholm, and supported by an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for all financial support to our 9 Swedish stores and the management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly managements accounts in line with group reporting deadlines

  • Weekly and Monthly sales league, business drivers and Weekly cash flow reporting

  • Budgets and monthly forecasts and Year-end reporting packs

  • Management of the Accounts Payable & Payroll functions and ensuring all supplier and staff payments are made on time

  • VAT Returns and payments.  Intrastats, Corporation tax returns and payments

  • Filing of statutory accounts and reconciliation of group accounts to local stats

  • Ensuring any other local obligations relating to tax, finance or reporting are met and local audit

  • Responsible for ensuring all payroll taxes and social securities are paid in line with local regulations

  • Monthly reconciliation of the balance sheet with all discrepancies resolved quickly

  • Cost Control – robust procedures for expenses, credit cards and invoice approval

  • Guidelines and procedures for fraud prevention in stores.  Banking procedures and bank reconciliations. Control of cash on delivery for web sales.

  • Ensuring all company assets are recorded & managed in line with group policies

  • Maintenance of all financial systems including accounting, online payment and banking software

  • Responsible for the local banking relationship in line with the group policy

  • Checking and signing of employment and other contracts in line with group policy

  • Recruitment, training, management and development of the finance team.
     

As a qualified Swedish accountant you will have experience working across all levels of business and have a hands on and enthusiastic approach. You are someone who is interested in Lush and our ethics, and be able to work closely with the UK team to interpret and communicate targets for the business in Sweden.

You will have great attention to detail and be someone who takes pride in the quality of their work and, in an ideal world, be confident to help implement significant systems and process improvements for, and with, our lovely store staff.
